Description

FirstLight for my new telescope! It took me a long time to make the decission for the change from my Newtonian and I waited even longer to get my new Tak...

Key facts: 10 inch aperture, 1.250mm focal length and nearly 23kg weight. So not a lightweight! But for that the telescope is incredibly valuable and stable built. It has three integrated fans to get the main mirror quickly down to ambient temperature and to help automatically during the night if necessary. Focusing is done by the electronic adjustment of the secondary mirror, so that the whole rear construction of this corrected Cassegrain is absolutely solid and rigid.

The first raw data has fulfilled all my expectations! A flat image, a complete illumination of my sensor and fine stars over the whole field.

As target I chose the well-known Pacman Nebula, which I had already taken in RGB a few years ago. The result? For me a perfect one - the telescope delivers directly, as you would expect from such an instrument. :-)

CS to all of you!

Frank
