Update 2/3/22
I decided to give up the green center and let the Oiii shine thru as blue. This new image uses a palette that is a combination of HOO and ForaxX.

This is my second go at NGC 2174/2175. My first Monkey Head was done with an OSC camera, this time I used a monochrome camera and Ha, Oiii, Sii filters.
NGC 2175 refers to the entire nebula, NGC 2174 is a small part of the main nebula.
The palette is 30% SHO and 70% ForaxX. I left some of the green intact.
I made extra efforts to preserve the fainter nebulosity around the Monkey. I like the wispy nature of the ionized hydrogen at the bottom of the image.

From the internet: The MonkeyHeadNebula is an emission nebula located in the constellation Orion, the Hunter. The nebula is an H II region, a large cloud of ionised gas in which new stars are being formed. The low-density cloud is a site of intense star formation. The MonkeyHeadNebula lies about 6,400 light years from Earth and is approximately 84 LY in diameter.

I added more narrowband and wideband subs. The palette is custom (try this and that).
I hit the saturation slider pretty hard but I wanted a wall hanger.
