Description

The Wizard Nebula is a large (100 light year diameter) nebula surrounding the open cluster NGC 7380.  It is also catalogued as Sh 2-142.  It is to be found around 7,200 light years away in the constellation of Cepheus.

The Wizard was photographed between 24 November and 6 December 2021.  Capture details are as follows:

Telescope: TEC140
Camera: QSI 690
Filters: Astrodon
Mount: 10 Micron GM2000HPS

SII: 23 x 1200s
Ha: 24 x 1200s
OIII: 24 x 1200s

A total of 23 hours and 40 minutes exposure.
