Description

Around 19hours of integration taken over 4 nights

For this image I've reverted to just using a straight flatenner (TS Flat) on my APM130 so full 780mm focal length.

While this probably framed the nebula better than the 585mm I'd been using until recently with the riccardi reducer, I did run into more guiding issues resulting in more star bloat and loss of detail that I would have liked. As a result I feel I haven't captured quite the fine detail that I might have... I did cull the poorer subs but may try a re-process on a more drammatic cull down further to perhaps the best 10 hours of data and see if that helps.

For future I will be reverting back to using my 0.75 reducer, at least for a time, where my guding is better and less star bloat (of course tilt management is then a challenge).

Stacked in APP into Ha, OIII and SII stacks and a combined as Luminance I then recombined and processed in Startools with palette using one of that tool's SHO presets.

Final processing in PS using astronomy tools apps and selective colour masking for curves, saturation and sharpening.

Description: re-stacked and processed culling down to just the best 10hours. sharper and finer stars, but not sure I like the colour and macro detail as much as the original...
