Description

I took this data 2 years ago, Jan 21, I've processed it a number of times but never been fully happy with the end product.

It was my first mosaic with the RedCat, a 1x3 mosaic, and I made a number of errors. Data collection took place over 3 nights and clouds on some of them meant I didn't get data on each of the panes on each of the nights. This meant that when it came to stacking and stitching I had big LP (from the moon) issues, especially in the O3 channel.

I think after 2 years I've finally managed to put this one to bed, and it's very satisfying to finally wrestle it into submission having come back to with more skill and experience as the years have passed.

This frame doesn't need too much introduction, Christmas Tree cluster, Fox Fur and Cone Nebula in the top half, moving down through a sea of Hydrogen Alpha to the Rosette Nebula bottom right.

Enjoy the view
