Description

Near or full moon imaging is less spectacular but a round moon is always worth a mosaic. This one is an 18-panel mosaic obtained with a 0.5 reducer positioned a bit further outward to obtain a slightly longer focal length which in the end was about 1100mm, I guess. All images are 1.5x drizzled.

Revision C:

A comparison of images in both 8-bit mono (10bit ADC) and 16-bit mono (12-bit) revealed no visible difference, in that I believe that 8-bit mono with its faster frame rate is the preferable choice also in terms of video file size. The B image is a 16-bit PNG but its is converted to JPEG (8-bit) by AstroBin. Please share your views should you have come to a different conclusion. I am all ears :-)
