Description

NGC 772 is an unbarred spiral galaxy which lies approximately 130 MLy's away in the constellation Aries.  At 200,000 Ly's across it is about twice the size of the Milky Way.  The interaction with the dwarf elliptical galaxy NGC 770 has likely caused the emergence of the prominent spiral arm that is more developed than the other arms.
