Description

Note:  This is the first really long exposure I have taken with my L-Ultimate 2" filter, on
an object that is fairly dim.  Despite having taken 147 Sub's I still found the background
grainy even with flats and Bias.  I probably should have mixed in some Sub's with just
an IR/UV Cut filter.  That possibly may have cleaned this up a bit.  On the next moonless
night I'll add some several hours of these.

IC 417 "The Spider Nebula" is an emission nebula in the constellation Auriga, lying about 10,000
light years away.  The glowing center of the nebula is energized by the hot, massive blue stars
embedded within.  New stars are being formed in the ovals left of centre and the surrounding
nebula. NGC 1931"The Fly" is the compact oval nebula at the bottom and approximately 10
light-years in diameter.
