Description

One of my favorite objects - M45 - The Pleiades/Seven Sisters. Love the prominent blue tones!

Mix of exposure times for this one because I messed up my sequencing. Stacked together fine in the end.

Processing Details

Linear RGB Processing

1. DBE

2. BackgroundNeturalization

3. PhotometricColorCalibration

4. SCNR (Green 0.7)

5. RGBWorkingSpace to 1/1/1

6. Extract L Channel

7. EZSoftStretch

L Processing on extracted L from step 6 of RGB workflow

1. EZDenoise (TGVDenoise + MMTDenoise)

2. EZSoftStretch

3. LocalHistogramEqualization for large scale contrast (Radius 512, Slope 1.5, Amount 0.5)

4. LocalHistogramEqualization for medium scale contrast (Radius 256, Slope 4.0, Amount 0.1)

5. MLT for denoise in layers 2 & 3.

Non-linear RGB Processing

1. LRGBCombination (w/ Chroma Noise Reduction)

2. HistogramTransformation for constrast tweaks

3. EZStarReduction (MorphologicalTransformation on star contours)

4. NoiseGenerator to blend smoothing artifacts from (3)

5. Curves for saturation & contrast

6. Slight UnsharpMask for sharpening
