Description

I am so excited, really excited, to be able to share another astrophoto with you today. This is an image of two objects, the Iris and Ghost Nebulae. Both of these objects are reflection nebulae, meaning they are bright stars shining into dust, lots and lots of dust, and that dust is reflecting, spreading and displaying the starlight. These objects are located in the constellation Cepheus, in our Northern night sky.

I was excited to go after these targets because of the dust, I have always loved dusty astrophotos and was eager to create one of my own. The fact that the target and focus of this image is so dark caused many issues and much difficulty in post processing, so, I hope you like it.
