Description

This was first light for the EQ6-R Pro and the Optolong l-eNhance. Since this is basically a narrowband image, I thought it was justified to do a false-color image. Fortunately, StarTools released a new version (1.6) at the time, which has new options in the color module, allowing easy recombination of colors. There I used the [Duoband / O (H + O) H] option. Basically, I didn't capture enough signal for OIII to be significant and the red of the Ha signal just became blue. Nonetheless, I really like the appearance of the image.

The EQ6-R was fun to use, but it just refused to do the meridian flip when it was time to. Afterwards I realised that I entered the wrong time zone. Thus, the mount thought there was one hour left before the object crossed the meridian. As usual, the problem wasn't the gear but sat in front of it... In effect, I gave up and lost two or three hours of integration time. Lesson learned.
