Description

M15 in the constellation Pegasus is one of the largest and most spectacular globular clusters visible from Earth.  Discovered by Jean-Dominique Maraldi in 1746, it was observed by Messier in 1764.  Herschel viewed it in 1805 and described it as "perfectly round, and insulated. The accumulation of stars towards the center is more sudden [than M13] and the scattered stars extend proportionally much farther."

Although it spans over 175 light years, it has a densely concentrated center, with over half the stars packed in a volume just ten light years across.  Astronomers have speculated that there may be a black hole at its center.

Ran out of time for blue but turned out OK.
