Description

The Nova is the brighter star to the lower left and its spectrum is to its right. The SA100 grating gives a zero order white light image, a spectrum to the left and a brighter spectrum to the right. The bright blob in the red part of the nova spectrum is the H alpha line that is not so prominent in other stars. M52 can be seen upper right.
