Description

My rather poor image of the comet taken on 25th January. I ran an automated sequence on 20th but a couple of minutes before the slew was due to happen the mount lost connection due to the severe cold (for the UK!) So, tried again on 25th and set my alarm to make sure eveything was ok. saw the comet visually which was easy in binoculars even under my skies. Acquired  45 minutes in RGB looping the RGB to make stacking easier. The comet at this focal length was moving fast across the frame so I made the mistake of slewing a little to keep the comet more in the frame. This made stacking a nightmare so this image is just 20x30s in each of RGB. I did stack the full 45x30s but this didn't reveal much more detail. Better results would be using a shorter focal length which I'll do next time. Revision B is a small animation of the comet's motion over 10 minutes.

I'm grateful to @Paul H for helping me out with links to videos and tips on processing
