Description

Arp 170 or ngc 7578 is the brightest member of a cluster of galaxies, situated some 550 Mly from earth.

Most of the galaxies in this image are at about that distance from us, although I have identified one or two that are more than 1 bilion light years away.

This subject was chosen by chance because after having set up my equipment, I wanted to test it, especially guiding.

For this image, I guided my mount with Ekos internal guider, using a few new settings: multi star guiding, and the equivalent of PHD2 predictive periodic error correction guiding.
