Description

Also known as NGC598, M33 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation of Triangulum at a distance of about 3 million light-years away. It is part of the Local Group of galaxies which includes our own Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy. It has an apparent diameter of about 60,000 light-years across and contains on the order of 40 billion stars.



Taken in September & October 2018 over multiple nights from Campbell, CA, USA. Sky: 18.80 mag/arcsec^2
