Description

The ghost of Cassiopée / IC59, IC63 and Gamma-Cas

Faint reflection and emission nebulae located in the northern suburbs of Cassiopeia, each is of +10 of apparent magnitude and a PITA to observe.

Blue and red colors are both caused by the bright Gamma-Cas (mag +2.4) located at the top of the frame, blue is its light reflected back to us by dust and gas, and red represents H-clouds ionized by the same star.
