Description

I've imaged this before, and I'm sure I will image it again. I just love this beautiful galaxy. It's big, it's bright, and it's got a lot going on, so what's not to love?

There are several nice little galaxies to find as well as a little PN in the image. Fun to view at full resolution and just scan around M51.

This was the first image I made after buying a reducer for my EDGE 925. I was a little hesitant to add more glass to the image train, but I'm actually blown away by how nice (and how much nicer) the data is when paired with my 6120. I'm still very oversampled, but with the reducer I am able to image at bin1x1 which I believe has a much nicer noise profile with this camera than bin2x2.

In any event, C&C is welcome and thank you for looking!

Description: I've been using Topaz DeNoise for a month or so and I am really impressed with the software. I decided to trial Gigapixel and applied a 2x UpSample to this image. It's pretty cool. I'm not sure it is worth spending $100 on, but it does amuch better job than the rescale tool in PI. What do you think?
