Description

This is the Heart Nebula (IC1805) located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is about 7500 light years from Earth. It is an emission nebula showing glowing ionized hydrogen gas and darker dust lanes. (Wikipedia)

This image is a mosaic of 3 images with a total integration time of almost 10 hours, using an EdgeHD C11 and narrowband filters for H-alpha and OIII.
