Description

This is a wide field shot containing data from Lynds Bright Nebula and Sharpless 126. SH2-126 is a hydrogen alpha emission, it can be seen as the red ribbon like structure which actually emits light due to its ionization in the spectrum of 656.28 nm. The rest of the nebula are cataloged as Lynds Bright Nebula, IREC, Dorschner Gurtler, and BDN. These nebula range from LBN 425, LBN 420, LBN 432, LBN 442, LBN 429, LBN430, IREC 122, DG 187, BDN 096-16, and SH2-126. The catalog mainly represents dark nebula and reflection nebula which are extremely faint and require dark skies and deep integrations to capture. This data was collected during exceptional seeing and transparency from a local astrophotography friends property in Natural Bridge Virginia with a peak measured sqm of mag 21.4.

The data was taken with a tandem DSLR rig, monochrome debayered 60d and full spectrum 550d through

Samyang 135mm F2 lenses at F2.

light frames iso1600

195 subs 550d 30s - Astronomik L1 luminance filter

128 subs 60d 45s - Astronomik CLS-CCD filter

The monochrome data was registered and integrated with pseudo lum data from the 550d in pixinisght. The data was color calibrated in Pixinisght and then completed in photoshop.
