Description

Comet 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 1 is known as an outburst comet.

The comet had an estimated magnitude of 14.74 at the time I took the images.

Current distance to the comet 4.72 AU. The comet orbits between Jupiter and Saturn and most of the time is around magnitude > 16.

Discovered in 1927 by two German astronomers: Arnold Schwassmann and Arno Arthur Wachmann, 29P is the most active known comet in our Solar System.
