Description

Sharpless2-91 is a super nova remnant in Cygnus near Albirio. An on-line search revealed differing information but this explosion likely occurred about 30,000 years ago. The entire SNR spans Sh2-91 as the southern most and predominant component but also Sh2-94 and Sh2-96.

Since this object is buried in the plane of the Milky Way it is hard to differentiate from the star background. Two techniques increase contrast of the SNR to the stars, using dual narrowband with a one shot color camera and using Starnet++ to eliminate all stars then adding 1/3 of the original back to the starless image to gain a little bit of reality.
