Description

The Rosette Nebula is a beautiful emission nebula in Monoceros. It surrounds a cluster of hot young stars known as the Rosette Cluster (NGC 2244).

This was taken with my unmodded Canon 550D. Without any filters.

Seeing 6/10. I plan on capturing HA signal on it the next clear night using my L-eNhance filter.

Description: I brightened it up a bit. And used TGVDenoise to clean the image a bit. I also tried to reduce the stars.

Description: This looks more natural to me. I started from the beginning ( Integrated Stack). Made a combo Range Mask and Star Mask combined using Pixel Math, then saturated it to look more pinkish red rather than purple.

Definitely made the Rosette "Pop"!

Description: I wanted to fix the dark rings around the stars. And denoised the image a bit.
