Description

IC 2118 is an extremely faint reflection nebula believed to be an ancient supernova remnant or gas cloud illuminated by nearby supergiant star Rigel in the constellation of Orion. It lies in the Orion constellation, about 900 light-years from Earth. Taken on 1-18-2021 with my TS Optics 72mm F6, Sony A7s modded for H-alpha. ISO 3200 36 - 90 seconds exposures with Optolong CCD-CLS filter.
