Description

The Iris Nebula (Caldwell 4, NGC 7023) is a bright reflection nebula approximately 1,400 light years from Earth in the constellation of Cepheus.

The Iris was imaged between 12 and 23 July 2020 from an imaging rig in Spain that is owned and operated by Barry Wilson and me.

Capture details are as follows:

Telescope: TEC 140

Camera: QSI 690

Filters: Astrodon LRGB

Mount: 10 Micron GM1000HPS

Lum: 48 x 600s

Red: 40 x 300s

Green: 40 x 300s

Blue: 40 x 300s

A total of 18 hours exposure.
