More of the Veil Nebula...

There images are a continuation of my learning run with the Optolong L-Enhance dual narrowband filter. The filter allows for capture at the Ha and OIII/Hb bands using a OSC camera. I saw some nice results folks were getting using this filter under strong light pollution which is the bane of my astro imaging existence. So far I am really liking this filter for imaging from my red/white zone backyard. I processed these images using my typical narrowband imaging workflow: calibrating the RGB subs, splitting the subs into R/G/B channels, then processing each channel separately.

Imaged with WO GT81 at F4.7 (382 mm focal length) using Flat6A II field flattener/0.8x reducer, Optolong L-Enhance dual narrowband filter, and full spectrum modified Nikon D5300.

Pre-processed using PixInsight Batch Pre-Processing (BPP) script. Images calibrated using darks, bias, and flats. Extracted red/green/blue channels using BatchChannelExtraction script. Registered and stacked using StarAlighment and Integration. Total integration time of ~5 hours using 51 subs at ISO400x360 sec. Post-processed in Pixinsight: Cropped, gradient removal with ABE, MLT for noise reduction, stretched using Histogram Transformation Tool, Curves Transformation, HDR transform, Local histogram transform.
