Description

This faint planetary nebula is located 9000 light years away in the constellation of Vulpecula at a declination of +23 degrees.  The magnitude 16.8 PN spans 1 arc-minute in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of about 3 light years.

I could find nothing written on this object.  Like many PN, the outer rim is stronger in HII while the inner section is stronger in OIII.  A star appears at the center of the nebula but I think it appears too strong and orange to be the progenitor star.  Instead, I think it is simply a nearby Milky Way star located in just the right spot from our viewpoint to cause us confusion.
