This is the ever-famous super complex (NGC2070) in the Large Magellanic Cloud. If you can spot it, you can also find the Tarantula Nebula I posted earlier in this image as well (just not the same color as this is not RGB). This is a wide-field mosaic of the region that the data for, was graciously shared with me by Mike Selby.
It is shown here in Dynamic SHO Palette which uses signal intensity to change the image colors across the image. Since Mike did such a killer job with his SHO version, I wanted to try something different. The data set had RGB stars, but I elected to use the narrowband stars and a faux RGB stars blend in pixel math to give them natural colors.
Scope used here is the Delta Rho 350 from Planewave with a Moravian C3-61000 camera. The rig is located in the Obstech Observatorio El Sauce, in the Atakama desert in Chile. The most prestigious imaging location in the world.
Two panes in the mosaic. I used Astro Pixel Processor to stich the frames, and PixInsight for the remainder of the processing.
