Description

This is one of my biggest efforts to date. I really like the ghosts in SH2-136. However my favorite deep sky object is the nearby star whose light is passing through a hole in the cloud formations. Marvelous and fascinating!
The famous Iris Nebula is in the neighborhood so I decided to image the region back in Spring this year. Unfortunately I had some problems with SharpCap and lost several nights of data. Some nasty bug occurred which blocked the downloading of images from my camera
Now in August with the help of the flawless Nina I added two more nights and managed to reach a total integration of 24 hours on a single object.
Processing took me a lot of time and effort. Only the stacking of the data takes 2 hours...
The hardest part in processing was popping the dust out. Keep in mind that the images have all been taken from my terrace under the city lights. DBE in Pixinsight sure helped to remove the nasty gradients.
So after many, many hours - here is my result. I hope you like it.
