Description

This image is a result of 300 light frames, shot with Nikon D90 and AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm F1.8 G on a tripod, at 6 seconds, f/2.5 and ISO 3200, from a Bortle Class 3 sky. All the frames were stacked with Sequator.

It's my first time shooting this region of the sky and I am satisfied with the final image. I love the fact that so many DSOs surround Deneb, offering all these different colors in just one frame.

Deneb is a first magnitude star in the constellation of Cygnus and it's region is a very rich part of the night sky. Standing just right on the milky way, among many deep sky objects, such as star clusters and various types of nebulae. However the most impressive one, is NGC 7000 - The North American Nebula (center of the image). It is a reflection nebula, illuminated by a hot embedded star of magnitude 6, very wide (2 degrees across) and lies 1500 light-years from Earth.

The image was post-processed in PS6.

I hope you enjoy it!
I am looking forward to hearing your comments, so I can get better images!
