Title: Revised Elephant Trunk Nebula with Drizzle and Mosaic Construction
Description: This revision began by using the drizzle integration end result as opposed to the undrizzled masters in the original upload. In addition, the pathway was different; after using Image Solver and Mosaic by Coordinates, I used John Murphy's excellent TrimMosaic Tile and Photometric Mosaic Scripts instead of GradientMergeMosaic process; the workflow with the scripts was much quicker, cleaner and error free compared to using the process to join the two masters. Previously, I would proceed thru many iterations of GradientMergeMosaic process with variations in Shrink and Feather radius, settling for the view with the fewest artifacts. After running TrimMosaic Tile and Photometric Mosaic Script once, I had a clean join, no visible artifacts or distortions, and no obvious gradient. So impressed with the result. Best of all, I learned of this better process thru Astrobin's forum! Thanks to all who shared their knowledge.
