Description

The Tiangulum Galaxy ...
This is also known as Messier 33, and sometimes is refered to as the Pinwheel Galaxy.  It is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangulum, that's located at a distance of approximately 2.81 million light-years from earth. It's the third largest member of the Local Group, which also includes our Milky Way galaxy, and the Andromeda Galaxy (M31). It contains about 40 billion stars as compared to the Andromeda galaxy with a trillion stars and our own Milky Way's 250 billion. The galaxy is high overhead in late October at 11  pm.

I took this image on October 29 using the equipment listed below.  Once I had the system setup, I was able to let it run automatically during the night.  I downloaded the data the next morning and then processed it.
