Description

Hey guys. It's been a while since I've done any imaging. My wife came down with Coronavirus and then I came down with it. For several weeks I was not able to get out of bed or eat anything. I was so weak that I could barely stand. I don't ever remember being this sick. For a while I was not sure if I was going to make it or not. Luckily I was in pretty good shape and in good health when I contracted the virus. I still need to regain some of my strength and stamina back. However my wife and I are much better and every day there is more improvement. I decided to try and image Comet C2020 F3 Neowise. I found the comet easily in my eyepiece. I was astonished when I first viewed Comet Neowise in my eyepiece. I've been doing this a long time and have viewed many comets. However this comet has to be the most spectacular comet that I've ever seen in an eyepiece. I was so excited that I ran inside and got my wife to come outside and look through the eyepiece. She also was in awe of the Comet. Unfortunately once I began imaging clouds started to move in and I had to trash a lot of my light frames because of the clouds. When imaging a comet I like to take 50 or 60 light frames. This helps to negate the noise. With this image I only wound up with 5 or 6 usuable light frames and the noise is a problem. Anyway I'm always excited to capture a comet whether the image is good or bad. Please enjoy my first image of Comet C2020 F3 Neowise.
