Description

This Astrobin Debut Object is a pair of spiral galaxies located 190 million light years away.  The spiral galaxy on the left is NGC 1346, while the edge-on spiral galaxy on the right is LEDA 13005.

Both galaxies are about 60,000 light years in diameter and are slightly disturbed.   I like the structure of the edge-on galaxy, which fans out away from the core to a large width which is 3 times wider than the disk itself.

I do not see any evidence of a star stream between them and I do not believe that they are interacting in a strong manner.
