Description

This is data from my first light of my Aspen CG16M camera from about 4 years ago. It has been quite a learning curve to get my methods and processes down, but I think I am almost happy with it. I still do not have colour figured out all that well, so any comments/critiques would be well appreciated. My flats were off with this, and I now usually acquire much longer luminance data as the underlying luminance data are quite noisy.

Data were acquired at my parent's cottage in a (grey Bortle 2) in cottage country, Ontario.

The final images are more of an experiment in presenting the low-level dusty parts of the universe. I wrote an algorithm in Python to eliminate the smaller stars, trying to minimize distortion as much as possible. I am still tweaking the algorithm, but may upload it to GitHub once I am happier with it. Any comments on the star reduction would be much appreciated as well.
