Description

Reiner gamma is purely visible as a difference in the albedo of the lunar surface and is called a lunar swirl. Reiner gamma is probably the best known one.. There is no relief feature causing it's appearance.

The conditions in which this image was taken were not ideal. Seeing this time was quite acceptable. However the transparency was rather bad with many thin clouds. This has a big impact on the overall contrast of the image. I was actually surprised that it turned out so well. When I went outside I was considering going back inside and not open the obervatory. Am I happy I did not do that.
