Description

VDB152 is a blue reflection nebula that glows at the top of a dark Bok globule B175.  It is located 1,400 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus.
Near the edge of a large molecular cloud, interstellar dust in the region blocks most of the starlight behind it or scatter light from the embedded bright star giving parts of the nebula a characteristic blue colour.  Embedded in the left side of the nebula is the Herbig Haro object HH 450, a jet emitted from a newly forming star. The thin red filaments of a huge supernova remnant.  At the bottom right is Dengel-Hartl 5 is a HII- and OIII-region, ionized by the white dwarf WD 2218+706 (the blue star in the center of the nebula).  This is an Ha-LRGB image.  The RGB part was shot with a OSC.  This project started on Aug 18th, and finished up Sept 3rd that consist of almost 18 hours of time.  8.5 of that is Ha data.  This was definitely one of the hardest things I have processed to date.
