Description

Having the Lagoon recently "in the bag" I decided to see if I could make a decent image out of it's near neighbour IC4685 here ...I see it like a backwater pond flowing off the Lagoon itself.

Taken over three nights. Starting to get some decent results with an OAG - seems to have overcome some of the elongated stars I've been getting toward zenith ... tilt is still a struggle but at least don't feel I'm losing a bunch of subs from poor guiding/flexure anymore.

Stacked in APP and separated into Ha, OIII, and SII and processed in Startools... I also combined in APP as SHO and saved as a TIF and layered that in with the Startools result in PS to taste to try and get more natural looking stars.
