Description

NGC 7635 - The Bubble Nebula - Emission NebulaNGC 7635 also known as the Bubble Nebula is a HII Emission Nebula located in northwestern Cassiopeia close to the border with Cepheus. It appears round in shape due to expanding gas from the stellar wind of a massive hot central star (mag. +8.7). The nebula is located in a giant molecular cloud that glows due to excitation from the star. It was discovered by William Herschel on November 3, 1787.  It lies approximately 9,000 light-years distant and is number 11 in the Caldwell catalogue.

This Nebula is my nemesis, for 2 years I've tried to photograph it but something always seems to happen to prevent it.  I have equipment problems, clouds come in that the weatherman said wouldn't be there, it's party cloudy etc...  This year it was hazy whenever
I tried to photograph it.  I had about 12 .5 hours of data but through out about 5 hours. The data I have is over a 2 week period 9/7 -9/25 2021.  I had a problem with amp-glow and could not process it out.  My 240 sec Dark frames would not remove it and I tried 300 sec
Dark frames but it darken the overall picture.  So I used the 240 sec Dark Frames and put
a frame around the final picture.  I've gave up on it this year so I'll give it a go next year !
