A dream became true! I finally got the instrument I ever dreamt of. I replaced my beloved Meade LX200 12" by a PlaneWave CDK 14" f/7.2, fl=2563mm.
First light was amazing and promises exiting results. With 70mm usable image circle I can take advantage of the big sensor of the ASI6200.
But I have to admit: Setting it up alone on the mount is replacing any fitness work-out, though it is relatively light weight due to its carbon-truss structure. I think, the future for my physio therapist is ensured for the next years 😂

I have received some queries how I protect the mount. Here my solution and some images.
I have bolted together a wooden framework, which is open at southside, so I can move it over the pier without liftig it. For that frame I had let crafted a made-to-measure truck canvas. This was made by a saddler company in Nuremberg, which is specialist for covers (boats, trucks and other outdoor stuff). This cover is extream heavy and wind resistant. It also has venting slots. Additionally it has a flip over side, so I can keep it open on north side during non-raining days. For winter season I a use a ventilator and pipe which is usually used for bathrooms. This is switched on/off via a timer. For keeping control I log basic environment data via a RasPi to Database to track the conditions (Humidity and Temp).
As of now, I never had any issue with dew. And this solution was comparable cheap. Less than 250 Eur.
During Daytime, or single bad days I cover the setup with a light cover which i quickly throw over, or use a reflecting foil to protect from the heat.
I have uploaded three images, two are a bit older, showing the shelter when I had my EQ8.
