Description

Finally I did get an opurtunity to try out solar imaging for the first time! Lunt LS60T mounted piggyback on the 10'' RC. I took 3 series using ASI178 (gain 33, exp. 5,8mS) and struggled in Photoshop to process the exporsures in the RAW converter and then combining the different layers into one image. Not the best way to work I have learned afterwards, but nevertheless I am pleased with the result even though I have a looooong way to go here.

I do like the differences in colour between the surface and the prominences. I should have used flats, but this I have understood is hard to obtain and implement in AstroStackert when working with full solar disc images.

Anyway, I look forward to continuing the solar imaging as the nights are light and deep sky cannot be done now here in the frozen country. Sleeping at night, imaging at day .
