Description

The Ghost of Jupiter (NGC 3242) is a small bright planetary nebula in Hydra. It was called the Ghost of Jupiter due to its similar apparent size to Jupiter. It's also called the Eye Nebula. It's around 5,000 light-years from Earth. This is 1.5 hours of total exposure in a 130mm triplet refractor at f/7.
