Description

IC1396 is an amazingly intricate nebula whose details are best captured with a modern high resolution sensor and reasonably good optics.  This image was captured with a 61MP Sony IMX455 and FSQ-106EDX3 and hosted here at full resolution. To really appreciate the intricate details click on the full resolution link and view with a high resolution monitor. 

Shot over 5 days on 8/26, 8/27, 8/28, 9/23, 9/24 In the hills around Descanso Ca (Lockwood Observatory).  

NB SHO (Gain 100, -10C)
- HA 11x15 min subs - 2.75 hrs
- O3 14x15 mn subs 3.5 hrs 
- S2 16x15 min subs 4 hrs 

RGB for stars (Gain 0, -10C)
- 40x30s  Red - 20 min
- 40x30s Green - 20 min
- 40x30s Blue - 20 min

Total Exposure - 11.25 hrs
FSQ-106, ZWO 6200mm pro full frame camera, ZWO 290 guider,  Astro-Physics 1100 mount, Chroma LRGB and 3nm narrow band filters.
