Description

This is a 16-panel mosaic of the region around Markarian's chain covering the southern part of Coma Berenices and the northern part of Virgo. All panels (15% overlap) are the results of 30x120s subs taken with the Optolong L-pro filter (520mm; f/2.2). This mosaic is built by expanding the one in https://www.astrobin.com/9hhqcd/ to include the region around Messier 60. The original image is 21597x13803 px and was slightly cropped to fit into AB.

I reviewed each of the additional panels for the presence of asteroids, with ASTAP and could visually verify the presence of 26 new asteroids (of which 3 in t he outer main belt), which are in addition to the 78 captured in the original 12 panels. The list of these observations can be seen in the list linked below (lines 774 to 799):

There are of course many more asteroids in this region with magnitudes larger than 19, but I could not actually see their traces in the individual panels.
