Description

I took delivery of a new color CMOS camera a few weeks ago and it's been sitting patiently waiting for the clouds to clear before being taken out for a spin. The clouds did finally clear in time for the waxing gibbous to be a negative factor in the image, the remnants of which are still clearly visible. I turned to the Leo Triplet after finishing imaging NEO Apophis given Leo's prime location East of the Meridian which allows the maximum amount of imaging through the remainder of the night. Another great opportunity to use APT which can image completely hands off through the meridian using automatic plate solving. Best 18 Euros I ever spent. Thanks Ivo

There is no gain value that achieves unity gain with this camera. Gain was set to 101 to make sure I'm above the noise drop point on the performance graph and offset was set to 50. I'll probably stick to both of these values for the foreseeable future.
