Description

This very faint Abell PN is located 11,000 light years in the constellation of Ophiuchus at a declination of -8 degrees.  SIMBAD lists the nebula at magnitude 20, while the progenitor star is closer to magnitude 17.  It is 1 arc-minute wide and has a diameter of 3 light years.

I think I see the faint progenitor star at the center.  The OIII and HII signals here are both faint and similar in strength, resulting in the faint gray ring.
