Description

I wanted to re-image this region again using the L-extreme filter. I think this framing is better than my previous attempt. I also wanted to make it a bit soft, or "dreamy looking". Partly because of the amount of the rotation and crop. The beautiful thing about imaging with a fairly wide field lens like the Samyang 135mm, is you have a lot of wiggle room to create the composition that you like.

I also used HDR Composition in Pixinsight to combine my Uv-Ir data for the stars, and Trapezium.

All in all it was a fun image to process.

Clear skies, Mike

Description: This is 4 more hours of L-Extreme data that I captured at the Bortle 4 site. I think it enhanced the background nebulosity quite well. I also tried to make the Belt Stars a bit less predominant.
