Description

IC 59 and IC 63 in SHO narrowband

Taken from Bortle 5/6 backyard.

Imaging run included 20 exposures (600 seconds each, unguided) through each filter (H-alpha, Oiii, Sii each at 3nm bandpass).

10Micron GM1000HPS mount, QHY268M-Pro camera, Astrodon and Chroma filters, TEC 140 scope.  SGPro for imaging run. Pixinsight, Photoshop and Lightroom for processing.

This faint nebula could really use LRGB from a Bortle 1-3 sky plus Ha and Sii, and could use 3-4 nights of integration.  It's incredibly faint.  In noise polluted skies (and the near full moon last night), I would not attempt this target with LRGB filters, OSC, or even narrowband at wider bandpass.  SNR would likely be too high to extract a strong image.
