Description

Sharpless 2-161 and the surrounding area captured in Ha. There's a lot going on in this FOV. Most obvious is NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula in the upper left quadrant. Above the Bubble and to the right a bit is the open cluster M 52. Lower left quadrant is dominated by Sh2-157, the Lobster Claw Nebula. The tiny very bright object on the edge of SH2-161 is NGC 7538 which contains the lergest protostar yet discovered, approximately 300x the size of our solar system.

The rather troubled mix of exposure times happened as I tried to deal with a bright Moon and paticulate matter from Colorado wildfires.
