Description

This rarely imaged object is a small edge-on spiral galaxy located 120 million light years away in the constellation of Aquarius at a declination of -19 degrees. The galaxy diameter in our apparent view is 2.5 arc-minutes, which corresponds to a true diameter of 90,000 light years.

I like the strong dust lanes which seem to envelope the core. I also like the faint galaxies which appear primarily below the main galaxy. I could not confirm whether any of these galaxies are close enough to the main galaxy to be interacting with it.
